Torquay til July made I larf, but hardly helping the team is it! Also, popping those balloons, ****ing knobbers!mcgull1 wrote:.....And not join in with the kids who were down the end of the popside in the second half against Vale with a drum, singing 'We're going down with the Argyle' and loads of other negative chants. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Sure the players love hearing their own 'supporters' singing stuff like that....
Be there for the team

Was going to say the drum in the middle helped the atmosphere in the 1st half, did wonder where it went for the 2nd half,
and the negative chants were so LOUD that i couldn't hear them in the middle, its very sad though and not what we need right now, so the middle finger to them!
Have to create at atmosphere tomorrow for what will be a tough game and no away noise too, hopefully the kids in for free will help!

lets get behind them tonight and get 3 points. we need the whole ground to sing there hearts out, often there are to many quiet people, lets show alan knill that we are behind him and the team, lets do it for lingy, COME ON YOU YELLOWS!

Haven't been for a while. Mix of family and work commitments and, to be honest, a lack of enthusiasm. Given the the efforts of the club to turn things round and that it is a really, really important game, I'm going and I'm bringing a friend.

Right, assuming i'm better i'm gonna go to Accrington. I've had a bit of a fit and ranted on other threads and now i've engaged brain. I'm just really p*ssed off at the minute, really angry, really frustrated and so upset at just how inept we have become and what it could lead to. I don't want to go into the conference again, it would be unbearable and so i'm panicking. I'm deeply concerned.
Despite what i said about the players taking the michael, i've got to keep going to as many away games as i can and hope and pray that we can inspire something. I've got to admit to myself that i think we will be relegated as i just can't see where some wins are going to come from but there are plenty of games left and until it is mathematically impossible we have to keep going. I don't actually think some of the players deserve the support we give them but what the hell, we've just got to keep going and keep it real. I'm dreading Accrington, not only the place and ground itself but because i am expecting the usual and i am just not getting any positive vibes that we can create a worthwhile chance let alone score and win.
It's our club and we have to try and motivate some of the absolute sh*te we've got in our squad to put it in for the last 12. If we go down they will be long gone anyway and we will be left with a shell of a club going to places like Alfreton and Telford and campaigning for 3 up from the conference. In all honesty i am totally bereft of hope and i don't expect the current lot to get us out of this but we still have a really good chance of pulling away. A couple of wins and it's bobs your uncle so yes i'm erratic, yes i'm confusing but i'll go against my principles as regards what i said about the players and wages inanother thread and i will continue to support the club through these bad times. What other choice do we have? Like i said, i expect relegation but what i expect and what will actually happen could be totally different, nobody knows. There are points to play for so let's just get the rants out the way and carry on supporting the mighty Gulls and hope that some in our squad stand up and be counted for once and get us away from this sh*t.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
