Bring back nicho

Kevin Nicholson will contact Torquay United about returning

Would you want him back?

I would have no problems, but he will have to take a pay cut and expect to play second fiddle, but his experience and locality is worth him getting an offer.

Hmmm, mixed feelings about this. Never seems to work out when players return and his last season with us wasn't the best, seemed opponents used to target him as a weak link. He was a legend and have nothing but respect for him in terms of what he did for the club but, for me, it would be a no. Time to move on.
David Graham, elliot Benyon, Danny Stevens etc : never seems to work out second time round.

Why not go the whole hog and bring back Kevin Hill?

Initially I thought it may have been a good idea to have his experience around the place but the more I think about it the more I don't like the idea.
He was pretty rubbish in his last season with us and I'm assuming he hasn't been great for Kiddie for them to let him go. That coupled with the rumored dressing room dis-harmony when he and Manse were at the club and I think perhaps his return would not be in the best interest of the club going forward.

2nd string LB whilst Ives is away on International duty or injured. Can't be any worse than having Cruise at the backup?
Bring some experience to the squad
Assistant manager role (save a wage)
Player manager when CH gets the sack next year

Player manager? Really? Does he even have any coaching badges? Let alone contacts?

Nicho is working towards his coaching badges, however to bring him back as a player would be huge backwards step, he isn't getting any younger or quicker, if we want a tilt at promotion, a fit for purpose left back with Ives hopefully staying as a good young back up, against injury suspension or rest is what the team needs.

It's entirely a question of pace.

And unfortunately Nicho doesn't have any. It's a sorry situation really, perhaps he should have gone to Tasmania or wherever it was.

If he has his coaches badges and wouldn't mind taking a back seat and didn't demand the type of money we can no longer offer then perhaps CH could find room for him. But as another poster said, are KN contacts likely to be better than CH?

I wouldn't be surprised if Truro made a cheeky offer for him. Let's face it - he's limiting his options by living in Torquay. I suppose Cheltenham or a return to Forest Green could fit the bill but would they be interested? I still think he can do a job in the Conference but not here. Wish him the best though.

CH in latest HE story online says the answer to Nico's request for a return is "No". That ends that speculation. Move on!

Legend for the club but I think it's the right decision to not go back in this situation.

Absolutely the correct decision.
