On a road, close to the kerb, avoiding yellow lines.
Welcome, Radigull. The above is an example of friendly, smart-aft banter you may come to expect on the forum. Gentle humour ok, but beware of the harsh sarcasm that is occasionally thrown up on here.
We're all for the same things really, supporting the team we love, airing and sharing views, and debating the more contentious issues.
So welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
PS You're not an old-time poster in disguise are you?
PPS There's plenty of side street parking near the ground - watch out for matchday prohibition notices on some streets though.

For the F.U. of Manchester game, best place to park yer arse is Bristow's Bench(£12) or the lesser best Family Stand(£11).

oh come on guys. stop yanking his chain. he can't help coming from out of town.
Park if you can around the Cary park area. Or go up on the sea front and make your way to either Walls hill car park. bit of a walk but worth it cos you get sea views at the same time. or car park at center of St Mary Church or even the Model Village car park. There is no car park for fans at the ground. Beware of trying to use the car park for the pool at the main reception area. your very likely to get booked. other roads for parking is on the hill down toward Castle Circus or Ellecombe. With bigger attendances you will find your parking further away from the ground. Unless you happen to book B&B or hotel close to the ground.(there are some) in which case. you leave the car behind and walk. easy walk from many hotels.
Have a great time. Just dont win please.

I've pulled your leg on here before, and that was for a sensible comment

I know you were lol. I well remember that last time you pulled my leg. It fell off. Now its gone rusty. i keep it in the corner of the shed. Makes standing on the pop side Executive naughty step a bit awkward though.

Having a small car I can normally find a spot on Plainmoor Rd if I arrive an hour early, always some chancer blocking me in after the match though.
I always park on Haytor Road. If you get there before 2, there are normally a few places. Pretty close to the ground as well.
Coming down in a long wheelbase minibus, where's best to park, not staying long
Your best option will be plainmoor swimming pool car park, it is £1 hour to park but if not staying long should just cost you £1, otherwise it's only on street parking, as said above there is some parking restrictions in force around the ground on matchday's, so you could end up miles away with a long wheelbase minibus.damo48+ wrote:Coming down in a long wheelbase minibus, where's best to park, not staying long

If you are staying in an hotel then I would leave the car in the hotel car park. You may like a walk along by the sea front to the Harbour area where you can have pre match drinks. Get a taxi to the ground from one of the harbour ranks, if there are four of you it will be cheaper than bus fares. If you are staying on the other side of town then you will be able to walk to the harbour via the town centre, on this route you will be able to admire "the great unwashed of Castle Circus" & a wonderful selection of charity & mobile phone shops.
Note: Harbour Area = Salford Quays but not posh or expensive.
