The Navy Shorts Thread

Post by brooker »

Assuming we have the same kit next year, (which I assume even with a new sponsor will be the case) is there any plans to change our home kit to include the navy shorts? As discussed by many, the striped shirt looks so much better with the darker shorts and socks, so I thought I'd poll it to judge the demand.

No-brainer.

Navy has to return. Would be criminal to vote to keep the white ones!

The white shorts do look awful with the pale stripes. Navy would be a massive improvement.

I'm rather under the impression that the stripes won't be back.

Interesting - who provided the information which has made you form the impression Matthew?

Really? One of the things about our club I've been very proud of over the last twenty years was the fact we keep our kits for two years, meaning fans get some decent use out of their expensive shirt. Not all lower league clubs are as generous.

Love it or hate it, it would be disappointing to abandon the 2-year cycle.

I like the stripes and I like the navy shorts way better than the white ones. Can't see the kit changing just because the sponsor has? Unless something ELSE is going on (have we lost Sondico?)

I miss the true yellow if I'm honest. I'd like to see a kit similar to the classic brazil kit, yellow shirt, blue shorts, white socks. Wouldn't be surprised to see a new kit coming in either, spoke to the op manager about submitting a design and he mentioned they already had ones set by their manufacturer, Sondico, and so wouldn't accept any possible designs.

It's far from a cert, Kit, so don't be too disheartened.

Somewhere, on a thread on TFF, Andrew Candy said that there would be blue shorts next year. I will be annoyed if we changed our kits. Having bought the stripes, the sky blue one and the same for my children, I don't want to have to shell out again.

Controversial, but I love the white shorts, looks great. Love the current kit.

Hopefully we keep it and have a good season. When I look back at my purchase of this kit, I don't want to associate it entirely with the worst team we've ever had.
