There you go, Yellow, I knew there'd be a thread before I logged on. Admittedly not long before I logged on, but before nonetheless.
Decent signing, we've been after him for months and months and only now have we got him. The story of our season, too little too late all through (we suspect).
Matt.

Well I'm extremely pleased about this. He may get us goals he may not but he's a welcome addition. If we don't play to his strengths and create chances then he will quite possibly end up being as ineffective as the others but it gives us another option so I'm very happy with this. Putting him in the side is only half the job though, giving him service is the other half. Apologies for putting my realistic spin on it but I am genuinely pleased that he has been brought in. A player I have heard of and one with experience which unlike Wilkinson who has really tried but is just not up to this yet. We need players like Showunmi. Need to come up with a bloody good Showunmi song now for Saturday!

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Got one.
I'm going with this to the tune of REM and MAN ON THE MOON.
If we believe
we've got Enoch Showunmi, Enoch Showunmi
If we believe
there's something up his sleeve
and repeat
If nobody else wants to sing it then i'll take it to sky.

I think but don't know that it has to be a 31 day emergency loan at this stage (the HE article concurs with this). These may be extended twice for the same period, resulting in a total of a 93 day stay. Our last game is considerably less than that time away, so we could have him for the rest of the season.
Matt.

Is he a midfielder then? Shows how much I know. Thought he was a striker!

Thanks for the info.
If he turns out as hoped, we will need to extend as our emergency period is likely to be longer than 31 days !!

Like Cooper, another player Knill wanted but presumably wasn't given the budget for. All seems a bit 'After The Lord mayor's show'. Perhaps we'll play 3-2-5 on Saturday...

I've revamped the song so it goes like this.
If we believe
in Enoch Showunmi, Enoch Showunmi
If we believe
He plays for Torquay!

Happy with this, somewhat out of the blue too. How has he done this season?

4 in 17 for Notts County (who have been very good up front, but hopeless at the back. They've scored more goals than the side in 7th place, but have GD which is 19 worse). Not setting the world alight, hence my suggestion in another thread that he moves into midfield. He's not short on match fitness, and would certainly add some much needed bulk to our centre line.
Matt.
Also, I've just seen that I've been spelling his name incorrectly, transposing the 'n' and 'm'. 50 lashes and a night in the Crow's Nest for me.
