Injury Situation

Post by brucie »

With the normal lack of information coming out of Plainmoor I wonder what exactly is happening.
Half our team now seem to be either injured or unavailable.

Bodin was reported to be "sore" after the Northampton game. Other reports now say he is out for the season (can it actually get any worse)

Cooper - had an ankle injury which Hargreaves stated would keep him out for a fortnight but he seems to be permanently crippled it.

Stockley - apparently injured. Noone knows how or why.

Lathrope has gone from automatic choice to out the squad - is he injured or gone back to Hereford.

Mansell - hobbled off on saturday.

Labadie is now suspended for two games.

By my calculation our central midfield pairing tomorrow night could consist of Harding and Stevens. Bloody hell Hargreaves should be on the blower to Dorchester.

If Ling had depression I can see Hargreaves stringing himself up the way things are going.

I now know what kind of a bloke you really are. I admired you in a strange kind of way for having strong opinions that often go against everyone elses and to hell with what they thought about you but the reason why you didn't care about what they thought is because you appear not to give a damn about other people therefore it doesn't matter to you. I truly pity you.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

-Bodin about 3 weeks
-Cooper is 2 weeks
-Stockley should make Saturday at least
-Harding would potentially start Tuesday

Actually you don't know me at all as you have never met me. Noone can really make a judgement on someone else by what is written on a football forum.
So no need to pity me thanks all the same.

T'would be a massive tactical mistake to make public information about our injury list. No other club does it, so your complaint, in this instance, is unjustified.

It is, however, reported on the OS that Bodin requires surgical intervention. Further, Stockley is shown to have picked up an injury on Friday. Cooper turned an ankle within a day of arriving, there's no update save to say he's a couple of weeks from fitness.
It's entirely likely that neither of your options for Lathrope are correct. You seem to know about Ladabie.

You're quite right though, in your assertion that the call to Dorch Town should be made. Harding will feature, and I guess he'll be in there with some loanee striker or two. Perhaps Downer will move forward? Either way, it won't much matter. Burton will only need one goal to beat us and they've got the excellent Billy Kee up front. We might as well forfeit the match now and save everyone the bother.

You have just made a truly offensive, vile and abhorrent comment about depression and suicide. Someone i knew did actually string himself up last year, not because he was manager of a team losing football matches but because he was ill. Maybe one day you can meet his brother and make similar comments?

'Struth, Matt; if we win tomorrow night, they'll have to get the paramedics for you ! It's just the lure of live football though isn't it ? Anything can happen ! I trudged into the Southend match wondering why I'd bothered, & was pleasantly surprised ! I'll be there tomorrow night...just in case !!!

What the hell, I'm done here again. I come back for a weekend and still end up arguing with amoeba. It's cool man, it's life.

Until we meet again all at a football ground far, far away!

See some of you at Pools and don't give up. We can still get there!! COYY!!!!

I'm out.

Anyone who listened to Mr. Hargreaves being interviewed on Radio Devon after the so-called 'match' on Saturday would have perceived that, like a World War One soldier going over the top for the first time, was shell-shocked, aghast, appalled, sickened and above all wondering how he got himself into this mess in the first place. Luckily (if Mr. Hargreaves were an officer) his life expectancy would not be very long. You can see where this extended metaphor is going....

Depends how you take the comment and in what context. The fact that Hargreaves might be considering topping himself wouldn't really be too suprising given the situation he has landed himself in.
God I have felt suicidal myself watching this dross every fortnight.
The point I made about Ling was that being a football manager is not the ideal vocation for someone prone to depression.

I would hope that Nathan Craig has been recalled from Dorchester and will at the very least be sitting on the bench tonight.
Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. :goal:

Of course he hasn't, we've got Danny Stevens, why would we want to recall Craig...

He wont use Stevens in the centre. It will be Harding and Lathrope to start there.

Captain Obvious, thank God you're here, we were in grave danger of someone telling a joke which went uncorrected for factuals.
