Thea in HE
Thea in HE
It was good to see that Thea has made the announcment that "She is here for the loang haul".
For me I needed that assurance as I've read so much stuff on forums in the last few weeks that wasnt overly positive about our clubs future.
And its good to see that they are seeking more directors and more investment, why not.
I also believe Thea wont walk away if we got relegated, and I'm sure all the contributors on here wont either. It would just be another episode / challenge in the life of the team and us supporters.
But heh, reading that has given me renewed optimism actually.

Indeed, was at Kingsteington's broadpark ground Saturday with my TUFC coat on as you do, when someone I had never met or seen before in my life comes and asks me what I thought about the club going into administration next week, it's a rumour as said, that's been doing the rounds for weeks now and was growing.
Picked up a mate on the way through Tuesday who doesn't use the forums, first thing he said to me was, have you heard anything about Thea Bristow walking out on the club, no, was my answer, well a particular person he know had phoned and said he had heard from with in the club Thea had. As we walked past the club shop I said there's your answer, Thea's car parked by the ground, clearly not true. Where are these rumours coming from and why, just cause untold damage.
So indeed thankful that the directors are coming out in public with a united front, us fans need the same now.

It is good to have some direction, communication and information coming from the board so us fans can be more aware of what is going on behind the scenes. A lack of it causes confusion, rumours and agitation that a lot of the time can be quelled just by keeping fans in the loop.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

when we get relegated, that will be it for us I'm afraid! we won't have the money to compete in the conference as we will lose the football leagues funding, and we will drop down the leagues like a stone and end up playing the likes of Weymouth!

I am a positive person,I never give up,all my working life I have had to achieve to get my money so tell me why now after just a third of the season gone, the conference beckons and I see not a lot of hope for Torquay to get out of this mess. The one person that I feel sorry for is Madam Chairperson, she must feel like a lottery winner, which she is,but still getting the begging letters, please can we have another hundred thousand please,so we can get rid of the manager plus some more to sign another manager who might get us up the table, fingers crossed.Maybe there is a case for letting Mr Knill carry on after telling him that he's gone at the end of the season and we start again in the conference with someone new.We have a good squad of players on paper, what we don't have is a team.My sympathies go out to Thea, stuck between a rock and a hard place.

She must know that goes with the territory.. If she can sack Ling she can sack Knill. Sometimes one must pay for one's mistakes..
