Who do you want in cup & league first games?

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

I would like Leicester or Peterborough in the cup away and for our first game i would prefer an away game and either at York or Hartlepool.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Pompy away first would be a class day out. Don't know how many we would take but I would expect it to be a lot.

In the cup, anyone local to me away. Always wanted to go to the Amex so I'll say Brighton.

I think we're due to have a home match for our opener in the League this year, so I'd like us to have a winnable match (difficult to judge, especially this far from the game itself, but someone like AFCW or Rochdale). The Milk Cup, not fussed.

Matt.

Cup - trip to Yeovil
League - Someone at home. A decent first away game though.

Anyone at home in the Cup selfishly as I'd probably have to miss it due to work if its away. As for the first day anyone at Home or Accrington away just to get it out the way.

Oh yeah, i forgot about Accy. Best get them out of the way on the opening day as it might even be sunny up there for once. I thought Fleetwood would be a good opening day last season as it was a new club, by the sea, i'd never been and it was a glorious;y sunny day. Fleetwood turned out to be an absolute sh*tfest and i've renamed it Accrington by-the-sea. A total disappointment.

Cue Newport away first game then. :-/

We do have a habit of being away to new league teams for their first games. Fleetwood, Kiddy and Macclesfield all made their debuts against us.

League - Would have to be Portsmouth away without a doubt.

League Cup - Not too bothered, wouldn't mind playing a big team although it would be nice to get a friendly draw - our record is beyond shocking in this competition so it would be decent to go on a mini run for a change.
