Benyon wants to come, we want Benyon, surely this is a no brainer.
What do we think? he sure does rush defenders and puts in a real shift every game, 1 in 3 goal return whilst at us this season, and hasn't played much. Think he will only improve for us.
"But he does plan to approach former Gulls striker Benyon, who finished the last campaign with four goals on loan at United."
Your title makes it sound like it is completed but this is not yet the case! How about addding a ? so you do not mislead people who then end up slightly empty!
Yes! Okay, I didn't see him play this time around but it sounded as though his commitment and attitude were spot on (I read it on here so it must be true). Reckon he's the sort of player that will always be popping up on the score sheet at intervals, just need a perfect strike partner to join him. I always liked Billy Kee...
Yeah, you've read right, Jane, he's been good for us. Given game time, he'll do just fine. Thinking of offering a small wager on him getting 15 goals next season.

Driving South to all games!
I'd like to see him re-sign for us. If we can get him the service in and around the box then he'll score goals and added to that his workrate which when i saw him at Northampton and Morecambe was superb.
Could be like old times. (when we had success obviously hehe!)
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
It's a no-brainer. If we can, we've get to get him.
It is strange to see him listed on the official site as being offered something though? You'd have thought that list ought to be limited to 'our' players that we've offered new deals to? Elliot did not end the season as our player, he's merely someone we've identified as a target.
"Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something."
Well, no, I'd guess the process goes along the lines of: identify target, make offer, negotiate, sign or move on. We did stage one during his time here, he was released by Southend, so we offered him something. I take it to mean there is a contract in place for Bennerz to consider. I see why the confusion though, we're so far ahead this season it's beginning to confuse me =D
Yes, perhaps that is the case. It'd be nice to think so. And I agree, it makes a pleasant change to be offering deals in May. We normally wait until July!

Totaly agree Shane think in the end Benyon was more key than Ladabie, how many times during last season did I look at aball go into the box and think where is the striker that should be having a little gamble at getting on the end of that.
Looking at Benyon's goal against York, Barnet and the second of the two against Rovers and there was your answer, no else would or could have scored those goals.
Exactly what he's about Dave. He's unlikely to make a goal for himself in the way David Graham might have done, but he comes alive in the penalty area. He has that ability to find space in a crowded area, and will generally hit the target when presented with a chance. Add his work-rate into the equation and he's an opportunity not to be missed. When he first came back, he looked like a player that hadn't played regular football for a long time. But towards the end of the season, as he got his match-fitness back, he showed a glimpse of what he can offer. With a full pre-season behind him, I'd back him for 15 goals next season, no question.

I was pleased to see him go in a way (not maliciously, just felt it was right for both parties, especially given the fee) because I thought we had had the best from him and always thought he was a limited player.
To be fair, he may be a limited player but he put de ball in de net. I'd have him right now if it wasn't going to cost us a lot. Liked what I saw from him in the 2/3 games I saw. Same old Elliott, right place right time, loads of running, takes his chances.
