Remaining Fixtures

Post by SuperNickyWroe »

great result last night!

now, some posters will know how much I hate that predictor thing! :@

however, I dont mind looking at the games on a week by week basis......

this weekend, with a good result v york, we can put a bit of a gap between us and the rest.

aldershot - away at port vale. cant see them getting anything there.
accres - away at the gills. ditto.
barnet - home v chelts - tough game for them. chelts are better than fleetwood and need the win to. maybe a draw.
wimbledon - home v morecombe - if they play like they did last night theyll lose - but i think they may win.
the gargs - away at chesterfield - may get a result - could do with them losing!

well, over to you!

For me Chris, each week I am only interested in the the bottom 2 sides could not give a monkeys chuff what the others do. As said we are playing York and the Shots are away at Vale massive weekend for us.

Quite simple we beat York, Shots lose at Vale that would leave us 5 points ahead of York and 6 ahead of Aldershot with the goal difference advantage and just 6 games left, 1 win would then be needed and we would be as good as safe as that would leave York needing to win 4 out of their last 5 and Aldershot needing to win all 5 to have any chance of catching us...there job done see.

Yeah so get told Chris ya soft lad!! :na:

I agree with Dave. In my humble opinion, beat York and we're safe. Couldn't give a flying guillemot what the other teams do ( so long as they lose :) )
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

After yesterday's results, it looked as if Argyle, like us, had turned the corner with that fine 2-0 win at Southend. Then I realised they only won because we had already softened Southend up for them last Saturday...!!

Yep and we may just have softened Chesterfield up for them aswell, maybe we are doing far to much to help the gargs over the safety line.

I think 2 wins for argyle is as good as it get's, Chesterfield have the pressure now and I think the backlash could be on Saturday. 2-0 to Chesterfield. I agree with all the other results posted however.

This is crucial Super, if we beat York and Aldershot lose away to Port Vale which is highly likely then like you say, we'll be 5 points clear of the drop and in a great position with a tricky fixture coming up away at Cobblers next friday night. The biggest game of the season so far v York and if we win i am confident for the first time this season that we have enough to stay up and WILL stay up.

Six games left. It would be great if we won them all and finished on 64 points. That's unlikely, but we should at least be safe from relegation. We must keep our eye on the ball. Then roll on next season...!!

Would not be shocked if we did go unbeaten to end of season. There appears a purpose to the team that was missing since Wimbledon away last season...
Hope we can keep hold of the 2 new lads, what a difference they have made to the team

I hope we don't. We got there last year and almost everybody now thinks the manager is useless :) :-D ;-)
