schadenfreude

Post by Dutchgull »

This disastrous season is all my fault.

I take full responsibility for our headlong plunge back into the conference as I so wanted Plymouth Argyle to experience relegation it has rebounded on me and our club. All of my hopes and energy were hoping that our neighbours would plummet but instead it has come back to haunt me and I have lost any hope of us staying up.

I just don't see anything in our "team" to give me any hope that this will be turned around.

Jeez its all so depressing..... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I am also guilty of enjoying someone else's missfortune where Plymouth are concerned, back in December was walking along with my Torquay jacket on as you do, when a lad walking towards me started chanting out loud "Green Army" This is a family site, so shall we say I impolitely told him to go off and enjoy the conference, looks like your not the only one with a wish rebouding on you.

When it comes down to who's fault think there are a few on the board and down through the team who need to take a long hard look at themselves, and if we do survive this, the club must make sure they never stand idlely by and lets us slide into this kind of mess ever again.

Yes we work of a small budget and it will be difficult for us to compete, that why despite being no fan of the loan system I, now think it is the only way forward for us, have a smaller squad and take advantage of the oan system as other League 2 clubs are doing.

Living in Plymouth all of my life and being a Torquay fan I've taken some stick over the years, i am constantly reminded of how inferior we are, so for the last couple of seasons when we have been much better than Plymouth I've been fully enjoying it and making sure my argyle mates know it. Sadly it seems karma has come back to bite me in the ar*e as i fear going on recent form there is more chance of us going down than them.

All i care about right now is Torquay getting points on the board and pulling away from the bottom two, where those points will come from i've no idea. Tonight's second half was a positive though, with 10 men it showed that the players do have some fight left in them, if they can do this for the remaining games we have a good a chance of staying up as any other team.

COYY!

I too live and work in Argyle land but I knew that what goes around comes around and so have resisted any temptation to indulge in schadenfreude.

If we go down I do hope it will be Argyle who accompany us - it will make it a little easier to bear.
