If the rumours are true and he wants to help, don't be a moron and wait Simon, act before it is too late. If there's no manager in before Saturday I think I'll put a fiver on Vale to hit double figures.

I'm not sure i would go as far as saying that Rosenior is clueless. None of of us would have been saying that in May 2004. In fact he was unlucky when we were relegated in 2005, despite having to trawl non-league players to keep us in League 1. His record the following year was not good but I just think his time has gone. He is more of a media whore now and you wonder if he would be that motivated in these circumstances. The fact he has not managed for getting on for 7 or 8 years would be another concern.

Not Leroy for me but neither is he warranting of such disdain.

Now that Alan Knill is being mentioned, I would jump at Leroy.

I would love Leroy to come back. but a further thought has occured. Assuming we could find the money what about Warnock as manager and Leroy as coach. a double act with contacts that I am sure would really get us ticking.

Another nice bloke who would lack the ruthlessness needed to turn this team around. No thanks, don't want my memory of his great promotion team tarnished by him unable to stop us getting relegated this season.
