Would it be possible to play Exeter twice over a weekend?

Are there any rules against it? Obviously both clubs would have to agree to it, but obviously there is a free Saturday. Would it be doable to either play the friday night or Saturday at midday perhaps?! I think either of those would be better than a Tuesday night...

Not sure Nick but i think it's a good idea. Maybe it would better if we played at midday on the saturday ( or even 3pm) as we'd get a bigger crowd than on a friday night i would presume and then that gives the players just about a couple of days until the monday night game on sky. That could work.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
Seeing as we are talking about the weekend we were due to play Rotherham, who were Exeter due to play that weekend?
I believe they're supposed to be at York. We have a free weekend, just a case of whether they'd want to try and move York to midweek, which I doubt!?

I thought Nick meant the weekend we were due to play Exeter away but it was moved to the Monday thus leaving the weekend free for both clubs.

We could play them on the friday before or on the saturday and then again on the monday being a double header. I thought that's what you meant Nick?

Yes sorry I misunderstood a bit - of course Exeter can't move an already scheduled game to fit us in just because we're free.
I think the potential issue to us playing the Friday or Saturday before the televised game is that the fixture calender is still arranged in "rounds", to be played at specified times. Postponed games are then re-arranged for whatever free midweeks are available. Our game of that particular round has been moved to the Monday, but technically we are still playing in that "round". Also their may be an issue with policing if its that close together and late notice.
Whatever comes of it, its almost certainly an unprecedented situation. I think it would make great sense to have a Friday Night (or Saturday Lunchtime)/Monday Night double header. But since when does sense have any bearing on decisions at the FA...........

I did mean that Andy, but Jeff mentions how we have a free weekend on the 7th. Ideally the game will be on a Saturday because we'll get more fans in that way!

All good stuff. If this was able to happen and it did with the first game on the saturday then i could make a long weekend of it and actually get to both games!

Argyle are at home on the Saturday, do we still share some stewards with them?
Could of done a poland v england and moved it to today, anyway serious note hopefully they can do the saturday as a 12 kick off time then the monday 7:45 but realistically it'll be on a Tuesday night middle of January.
