I assumed it was him too. Have to say i was surprised to see him playing such a prominent part during the game.

Buck's places an awful lot of faith in him and I know he has a great relationship with the players. He certainly brings something to the club, we were flying in the Conference when he left and upon his return we are flying again.

Why is a chief scout sat in the home dugout when he should be out scouting on which is the main football day.
I hope his employers have addressed this question.

He has been going to a few games recently. Although most good scouts would have good enough contacts to be told of good players and would watch them in training sessions rather than one off league matches.
What is the role of a scout? Is it to watch talent with potential? Is it to watch prospective signings? Is it to watch future opposition?
The answers to these questions are better served on the main football day. Watching a player in games gives more insight on a player than watching a player in training.
