According to TU's official twitter tonight, rumours of Logan from City linked with us?

He's better than we have, will score some goals at this level, lives nearby and wouldn't cost much. Plausible.

Apparently he's got a bit of pace on him, Rich. Not much, but some. I wouldn't be against this as he'd manage the Howe role perfectly.

I wouldn't say he's any quicker than Howe. He'd be a very good back up for Howe but couldn't play alongside him, too similar.

Logan is a lot quicker than Howe.

Logan is different to Howe. He will look to get in behind and poach goals. He is also quick, not electric, but quick.

Would be a good signing IMO, he was something of a fans' favourite at City and would be a good one to notch against them this season.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Another rat deserting the sinking ship that is Exeter City!

Can't say I want him particularly and I think it'll take a bit of time to win over the usual suspects on the pop. Two seasons and 30 goals should just about do it!
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

If only we already had a thread on this guy, in the correct place...

http://www.torquayfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3765" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not sure where this idea of a lack of pace comes from. I don't know anything about him, but I'm told (on the aforementioned thread) by a guy who has run the line at Sid James on occasion that he is like greased lightening off a shovel.

Shall we have him or not? Now he's settled at the filth, he is averaging a goal every 4 games, hardly electric, but then he's not £15,000,000 (Alan Shearer), so we can't expect miracles. Also, a lot of that time has been spent with a poor team in L1, where it's going to be doubly hard to score goals than it is in a good team in L2.
It seems he played under fat **** Evans at Boston, so maybe he'll take a lower wage if we bung him the cash in a brown envelope, rather than straight into his bank?

Matt.

I think he could be a good signing for us. He's not a prolific scorer, and never has been in his career, but I reckon he'd do a good job.

That said though, I can't see Ling having three senior strikers on the books if he continues to play one up top, I reckon he'll plump for a youngster released from a prem/championship club who'll be cheaper and more willing to sit on the bench and wait for a chance as a backup to Howe and Jarvis. Hopefully someone like Benyon when he came from Bristol City, who we can blood in over a season and develop into a goalscorer, which is what we lack.

Would be happy with this. Proven goal-scorer at this level (what we need).

That happened to have been me! ...it was at plainmoor in fact, during the development game. But yes, very speedy...more so than Howe as SG points out.

he may be quicker than howe but rene is stronger and i would rather have him up there than logan, we need pace along side rene and logan aint the answer, need a bodin or kuffour type player, logan would be ok as a stand in if rene was injured.

Many Exeter fans think he has been rather unfit and unmotivated. Perhaps he couldn't quite feel at home there or see that much of a future for himself there. Whatever the reason, if Ling gets the best out of him as he has of Rene, he should be a good signing and a useful addition to the squad.

I love Rene to bits, but my Granny (Who died in 2005) would be quicker than him.

Agree with everyone who has said that we need Rene up front, but with a quick goalscorer beside him. Think that was always the sad thing about Tai. He should have been able to play alongside Rene, but always seemed slow and disintrested. Maybe we need Eliot back? Would that work?
