Football Manager 2011!

Post by Plymouth Gull »

So, anyone going to get this?

I can't wait, personally. Haven't played the demo, but from what I've heard, its been polished expertly, and it's better than ever (as you'd expect!). It comes out on the 5th November for those who weren't sure, and I'll probably get it on that weekend.

I'm looking forward to it, taking Torquay to the treble too ;-)

Keep all discussion in here! :)

Just signed Rodney Jack on the demo, Beat Macclesfield away 2-0 forst game zebs and then nico penalty and then went and lost 7-0 away at bristol rovers with Brano and Zebs being sent off (was playing Bevan and LRT upfront though). Quality game though

Is it easy to get used to? It took me a bit of time to get used to FM10 because of the new interface idea.

I am buzzing about this. I haven't got the demo either but good to hear that at least some of the players have a picture!! How are the ratings looking? Or do they change when the actual game comes out? It will be interesting to see how good Eunan O'Kane is on it as personally i think he is quality! :)
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Finished the Demo as 7th. Fell 3 places on last day (1st January, demo ends) Squad is predicted as 17th. I took them to 7th, with 1 or 2 small signings, you can now chat with the players privately, and tell them to try new things, and do special match preperations. Contract negotiations also a lot more in-depth, looks very good.

Glad to hear everyone is so happy - I've had no real complaints about the data so that can't be bad. Just a couple of positions people wanted included (O'Kane as an AM C and Zebs as an AM R) but neither of those was particularly high on my list. I've taken on my usual task of Hampton and Richmond in the demo, since they are my local club and I have nothing to do with inputting their data, and I have them sitting in a handy second place coming in to the month of December.

The demo looks terrific, its kept the best things from FM10 and added some terrific new touches to keep it fresh. Looking forward to the full version!

I finished around 11th with us, but I didn't put a lot of effort in with signings or tactics, it was just to try out the game and see who was good. Nico is pretty good, he scored 7 goals - 3 pens and 4 direct free-kicks. Benyon was the top scorer with 12.

I think with more time and effort I could get us into the play-offs first season on the full game. But I think I'll try a game or two in either the non-leagues or Slovakia first to get used to it before I start a long-term career with Torquay. On 2010 I won the Premiership in about 2027, so that's my target to beat this year when I eventually start as us.

In my first half-season in the demo I was quite surprised to see Bucks' first signing of the season.....

Chris Hargreaves!!

They are 8th in my game, with three free transfers only signed, and obviously lacking Oastler, Rose and Hemmings from the real squad which I am unable to transfer across to my squad since the only loans included at the start of each FM game are the real half-or full-season ones (ie Gritton)

Went and got the full version this morning. Decided to make my first game the unemployment challenge, to get used to the game before starting my usual long term careers as Torquay and Slovan Bratislava.

Rep is Sunday League footballer and started unemployed.

Holidayed the game with apply for all jobs ticked, and on the 1st November I was offered the Droylsden job. Currently 19th out of 21 teams in the BSN.

I was thinking of doing that Gulliball, to get used to it. Are there no jobs available at the start?

Haven't got this yet, as I need to keep practicing my theory for my test in a week or so.. :|

I don't think so, not that I managed to get anyway. With Sunday league reputation it's pretty tough.
