Will we have a fit RB or any fit LB, and will Gary persist with a back 5 with such limited options?
It’s a CL night, so I’m not expecting a sell out. The Derby game is a distraction that may have kept GJ in the job for another few weeks.
Has Okoli returned to Millwall now?

Seems Crowe wont be available so we have no RB and only Moxey to play LB, can't see - as much as id like us to play a back 4 - how we can!
-----------------Halstead
---------Ness -- Ellis -- Moxey
Donellan ----------------------Da Silva
--------Smith -- Hall -- McGavin
-----------Goodwin -- Jarvis
Omar
Lovett
Tomlinson
Thompson
Lapslie
We might be able to name all 5 subs!

We’re not short of CM options! Expect Laps may start over Hall.
Whatever 11 we play we will lose.

We need an attacking high press with pace hence wing-backs of Thompson and Da Silva. We have to get balls into the penalty area to give our strikers a chance - what have we got to lose? We are playing Aldershot not Inter Milan.

Play the attacking game that favours GJ teams.
Get out of the blocks fast and take an early lead and continue pressing

I agree with the prevailing view that we need to play a high press game - which means McGavin can't play. We can't afford his lumbering presence in midfield.

I quite like this set up, but would move Donellan to right back and release Da Silva further up the pitch, playing 4 - 4 - 2. I remain a big fan of Moxey at left back, gives us a better outlet. Trust the centre backs of Ness and Ellis.UnitedinDevon wrote: 30 Oct 2022, 21:42 Seems Crowe wont be available so we have no RB and only Moxey to play LB, can't see - as much as id like us to play a back 4 - how we can!

Gary has stated today that he hopes to sign another player in time for Aldershot.
Whatever 11 start we have to get behind the boys. We do matter and they do care. COYY

I hope every single member of the squad plus Gary and Aaron are watching the Devon Derby tonight.
Our players need to watch and learn in particular the younger players. This Argyle side are very good and could well be a Championship side next season.

This season reminds me of 1984 to 1986 where we constantly changed the starting XI week in, week out, how can you make a new signing and play him the same day, it's crazy and very thrown together bordering on desperate, all if a sudden Ness and Ellis are the chosen CB pairing,4 days ago neither were at the club,we wonder why we are so disjointed and open to play against,it's no bloody wonder is it?,how can we work on shape, patterns of play, general tactical basics when the team has zero continuity?,
