I know we're all f*cked off tonight and we should spare a thought for many of the returning Gulls on their way back to Devon having seen another performance that could only have been from the Benny Hill show. They have paid their money and been deflated yet again but i reckon many of them will dust themselves down and go again at Plainmoor on saturday even though they probably expect another inept performance followed by defeat.

We have a points cushion from the bottom 2 and although it is gradually diminishing, we can look to be positive and with a few strong decisions by the board we can secure our league status. We have some bloody good players at Torquay and most of them have been way, way below what is expected of them this season but the talent is still in there and we can only hope that a new bloke comes in and gets another 20% out of them. If we can do that we will be fine.

We all have our views on who is to blame and this that an t'other but let's get our heads around that the season starts now and get behind the lads and give support in EVERY game. There is absolutely nothing we can do about what happens on the pitch and if a player is playing sh*t then there isn't much point in having a go. I'll be spending nearly £200 on tuesday going down to the Wycombe game and i do it because i want to support my club. I know we will play like Spongebob and get beat but i'm going anyway.

There are games left, we have a points cushion, let's do this together.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Well said Andy.

It's posts like these which make up for the endless "Top 5..." threads and bi-weekly hissy fits! :na:
