A shiny new stand fit for non-league

We all knew we were up against it financially, but the way the first team has been neglected this season is nothing short of a disgrace the result of which is looking increasingly like non-league football. For months and months and months it has been plainly obvious we have lacked quality in key areas but nothing has been done until it was too late. In my opinion the football under Ling was mostly terrible, a lot of fans wouldn't have that but he should have been sacked after the defeat to Wimbledon on NYD. I also think as fans too many have been guilty of the 'we're too good to go down' attitude, had people been more perceptive this could have put pressure on the board to act sooner. Baker and co. have taken their eye off the ball and I fear we are going to pay the ultimate price. Why on earth invest so heavily off the field if you're only going to try and scape by on the pitch. We have a squad of players who have never been used effectively - even tonight there were clear changes which should have been made. Why did Cruise etc ever get signed if they weren't going to get a look in? Halpin etc should have been moved on a long time ago if they weren't going to even challenge for a starting slot. It's been the same every week, the same players time and time again who are not good enough.

Circumstances have worked against us in recent times but this situation has been a masterclass in 'mis-management' to borrow a phrase from the past. The board's heart is in the right place but their actual management of the club is starting to look no better than past incumbents. It is a complete disgrace and joke we are in this mess given our recent history - this should never have been allowed to happen.

When we do go bust at least the stand can be recycled. The same should apply to the players.

Time to break out the emergency cashbox. Even the most optimistic of board members must see exactly where we are heading. We cannot afford NOT to spend on loanees.
