Feel so gutted to drop 2 points right at the very end.

Can't help but feel disappointed.

I hope they look at the table later and see that they were in a playoff place and then thought "aaw this isnt for us, let exeter have our place". city must be pissing themselves with delight knowing that the three points is here for the taking with their away record.

For me 1-1 was a fair result.

They pressed hard after we took the lead

Hardly 'robbed'. How many times do we see ourselves sit back and hope to hold on. We invite pressure, and when you have a team like Northampton who are dominant in the air (every throw-in was like a corner) and Bayo and Platt won their fair share. It was an awful goal to concede but on the balance of play it was probably about deserved.

Had we taken advantage of our dominant 15-minute spell after going 1-0 up and doubled the advantage, the game would have been put to bed. Jarvis missed an opportunity, aswell as others.

Positives were that MacDonald did well up against one of the league's fearsome strikers in Bayo. Mansell got involved lots and Easton did well too. Nathan Craig played on the right for most of the game and looked good, could work with him cutting inside a lot, allowing him to play long passes and that. Oastler was excellent, bombing up the right many a time.

Downsides were Howe wasn't on form, must have been offside at least 4 times when he should really have timed his run better. Stevens did well on occasions, as he did for the goal, but other times he seems scared to run at opponents. Several times in the first half his positioning was poor.

The Bench looked the emptiest it's been unfortunately, but hopefully we will see a good 5k+ crowd next week. Very unlikely though.

Inevitable late equaliser by the sound of it - take off a forward, go defensive, sit back and wait for the equaliser. Yet again Lings tactics come unstuck - when will he learn?
