Friendly taxi in Torquay?
My 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend are coming by train to Torquay but don't arrive until 1130pm on Friday night. Can anyone recommend a good taxi that I can prebook for them to take them to their hotel? (I'm an exile!)

Taxis are licensed these days mate, any of the Google results will be just fine. Gone are the days when any old Tom, Dick or Harry could but an Austin Princess with brown velour interior and a million fragrant Christmas trees and set himself up as a cabbie/pervert.
This lot are just about the most prevalent firm in the Bay, see their cars absolutely everywhere and I've never had a problem with one (I even got a free, if somewhat unlawful, ride from one once, but it's a very boring story) >>> http://torbaytaxis.co.uk/
This >>> http://yourtaximeter.com/main#/main
is an excellent little tool which works out the cost of the fare.
Which hotel are they in (ask only because it might be walkable)
Matt.

You've not had many nights out in Hull then Matt?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Pretty much the same place Gaz, spent many a day there in my younger days and it was rough THEN. A true hole, no wonder the trains terminate there as it's at the arse end of nothing. There's some good people in the city but it's overrun now with detritus. Does Hull have a special place in YOUR heart then Gaz?

Been there once about 4 or 5 years ago, couldn't have got any worse. Although the village of Downham Market (just south of King's Lynn, 12 miles orso), could possibly challenge it in my least favourite places in the world. Oh, and South Molton. Full of old people that just seem to wonder around doing nothing like zombies all day because all the young people come up to Barnstaple, which in its self is probably no better.
So YOU'RE the mug that ran off from my taxi!!ferrarilover wrote:Taxis are licensed these days mate, any of the Google results will be just fine. Yes, absolutely correct, clearly this shows the trend that 100% of taxis are driven by murderers. 8/usagullmichigan wrote:Taxis are licensed then so was the one that picked up the girl in Swindon last year RIP
