Famous Austrians v Famous Brits

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Right then you roast beef and yorkshire pudding munching, Thwaites beer drinking, Yorkshire dales visiting British citizens! Lets have a bit of fun. For each famous Brit you respond with, i have to reply with an equally famous Austrian and the reasons why they are famous ( and better ). I have faith in my forefathers that this will be ein Sieg fur die Osterreicher!!!!!!!!!

Example, Eddie the Eagle Edwards

I reply, Hermann Meier, no contest, von nil to zee Austrians!!

That's a toughie but i'd go with Archduke Franz Ferdinand who was assassinated thus prompting World War 1, he was a bit of an arse to be fair but he was born in Graz, the city most of my family are from so it's not all bad. His hunting lodge in the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) is well worth a visiting. I have been, naturally, although may i take this opportunity to say that if you kill animals for enjoyment you are a total prick.

That's easy Steve, all i have to do is name an Austrian footballer, ANY Austrian footballer, they're all sh*t but all better than Billy ;-)

The worst Austrian footballer i've ever seen that you guys might know is Emmanuel Pogatetz. How the hell he still gets in the first 11 God only knows. He played for Middlesbrough, that's how bad he is and how desperate THEY were! A liability. Billy could actually be a regular in the Austrian national team he is that bad..............

Eckart Witzigmann, renowned chef in the Michel Roux mould. Admittedly he is the only one i could think of that people may have heard of. I was gonna put Tante Hertha and her Viennese Kitchen but can't say i'd be confident ANY of you would had heard of that! I think i should win this round as Witzigmann doesn't have a face like a smacked arse with extra flabby bits, doesn't say pukka or lovely jubbly nor to my knowledge has Witzigmann ever appeared IN PUBLIC in a Rotherham United shirt. Totally unforgivable. I don't mind his flaccid face or excrutiatingly annoying catchphrases and mannerisms but when it comes to donning a RUFC shirt that is where the line of public decency is drawn.

This is getting tougher by the post! OK so i'll reply to GG's BLACKADDER, a truly memorable comedy series in which Rown Atkinson plays the title role of Blackadder. For my Austrian comedy genius i'm going to go slightly leftfield and bend the rules a little and go for a british comedian playing an Austrian. Bruno, played in the film by Sacha Baron Cohen. Is that allowed?

In the field of science and theory, Steven Hawking is an exception in his field but so is psychology master Sigmund Freud. Nobody can beat him when it comes to getting people to lay down on a couchette to talk bollocks!
