Morris out for the season?

Post by Richinns »

Not been confirmed anywhere that I have seen but the way the players are talking it sounds like he will be missing for the rest of the season.

Manse - “We are obviously missing Morro with a serious injury and all the boys were very sad for him on Friday. In another sense, it has given us even greater motivation to do well and help make him a League 1 player next year, along with the rest of us.”

I have seen he will be out for months but the whole season is very worrying. Will need a replacement added to the squad - that is for sure.

We were very very lucky with injuries last season. Maybe it's all coming home to roost. This is a bit worrying as our budget won't allow for a season of horrendous injuries.. I worry a little in case we are going to suffer a season where every injury going happens. As long as we can survive and stay in this league then may be we will have used up a few seasons worth of bad luck and can move on forward next season.
I am just gratefull that we have players Like Lee Mansell who is a powerhouse and seems to avoid injury.
Good Luck to Ian and hope his tendon heals up and he can return refreshed. Keep your chin up Ian. we are still rooting for you.

Best of Luck and a speedy recovery Ian.

As for the squad I know where your coming from Rich, the squad we all know is thin, however still don't think there is any need to push the panic button, Nathan Craig as Matt keeps telling us :) can play in that role, and I am convinced that Billy Bodin could cover in the centre of midfield aswell, he does have the craft to unlock any defence at this level and can make things happen.

With macklin/Stevens and Tompson we have enough out wide aswell for Lingy to suck and see for a few games.

Well yes lets hope our bad luck finishes here and now. A shame for Morris but with all due respect it is probably an absentee we could cope with.
The trouble is if we pick up injuries to the likes of Howe,Downes and Mansell then we are in deep shit. Its imperative that we start getting some wins.
