George Artemi
Seems he has been signed up.
He had Tweeted: "just signed my papers".
Matt.

Not sure this will go down as a "marquee signing" More as a "pop up tent signing" Is this the same George Artemi that was loaned out by Southend to Great wakering Rovers last season, if so Brucie where is Brucie can't wait for his reaction.

It's not Great Wakering! There's an 'N' missing!

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I saw him against Nike Academy and he looked good at what he does. Big, destroyer type, rather than another Nathan Craig, but knows his job and does it well. Dinger ain't no mug, if GA wasn't up to scratch, he'd be out the door.

Is this a definate then? If so i echo Nicks sentiments, good luck to the lad and like Matt says, if he turns out to be worse than a soggy pudding then Lingy will show him the door. Positivity though, he's going to be a star for us. I can sense it.

still keeping the faith
At first I wasnt that enthused with this, as I remember Artemi not really cutting the mustard during a loan spell with Bishops Stortford last season. But then on second thoughts, Damon Lathrope also looked pretty poor during his loan spell with Stortford, and things didn't turn out too badly for him!
I'm guessing that how this came about is given away on the OS - the lad is an ex-Leyton Orient scholar. So I'm assuming that he was in the Youth Team under Lingy's reign, Ling obviously rated him so he gets a chance here.
Good luck to him.

Waste of time. Some quality needed.

good to see you are behind him and giving the boy confidence.
In Ling we trust. Must have been better than Byron Anthony, which, to a certain extent, should give George and us a bit of confidence.

Fate: A police dog called Bryn bit Torquay player Jim McNichol and the time while he was receiving treatment was added onto the end of the second half.
