Forgot about Stewart Lee, his show 'comedy vehicle' is absolute genius. Also, Troj mentioned Dave Allen, another name I forgot.

Eddie Izzard's cake or death and starwars canteen are two of my favorite bits ever, but they're lost in a sea of mediocrity.

Andy Parsons can be hysterically funny, but only if he is carefully managed, as he was on Radio 2 a number of years ago on the Worst Week of the Week Award, Awarded Weekly on a Week by Week Basis show.

That fat Geordie bint makes me laugh, she's seriously funny.

Andy Parsons is funny when he's taking the piss out of Merse, cracks me up.

Andy Parsons is not even remotely funny for me, I think I mostly can't stand his voice which means I blank him out. He's by far the weakest link on Mock The Week.

When was Andy Parsons taking the piss out of Merse? Why would that happen? Why would they be in the same room? Why would you be there to witness it?

Frankie Boyle
Reginald D Hunter
Brucie
And many others people have touched on.

Agree with Matt about Eddie Izzard. He has a few gems in an ocean of fairly average gags.

What do you guys think of Ricky Gervais? I was fairly surprised with how good his stand up was. I like his writing for shows but I don't really like him as a person for some reason...
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Anyone heard of German comic Henning Wehn? Quality.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Quite agree. None of today's stand-up comedians are a patch on the old-timers. I only wish I could remember some of their jokes..
