PFA Transfer List
The same Gary Roberts who got kicked out from Port Vale for turning up drunk to training on several occasions? The one who's got such an attitude that most clubs in his career have released him.
No thanks.

According to the BBC website Gary Roberts has already moved on a Free from Huddersfield to Swindon so no hope of signing him. Mind you Lockwood would be a great signing come Lingy you must have a couple more surprises in that hat of yours. Just please get us another quick Striker as well.
If we're going to guess on who Lingy's "100+ appearances Centre back" might be, there aren't that many options on the PFA list.
Lockwood excepted, the only realistic contenders are:
Lee Beevers (ex Walsall, perhaps recommended to Lingy by his ex Assistant Dean Smith?)
Mark Arber (ex Dagenham - didn't Buckle try to sign him a few seasons back?)
Simon King (incredibly injury prone)
Byron Anthony (ex Rovers and Hereford, please god no!)
Aaron Downes (ex Chesterfield, on loan at Rovers last season)
For me, King is class when fit but thats pretty rare. Arber I think is well past his best, and Anthony is an absolute disaster zone. Downes would be a good shout, but the Smith/Ling connection would lead me to assume that maybe Beevers would be the most likely?

So the PFA list is quite out of date then!
Doesn't leave a lot of choice then for our centre half!

NickGull I think you have the wrong Gary Roberts. Never played for Port Vale. See Wikipedia.
Anyway as Paulo DeCanio has signed him on a free for Swindon I hope you agree DeCanio is no fool just a little crazy .
Roberts is a very classy player.

Can't see how you can call Byron Anthony no good. He was a class act for Rovers before PB made a complete set of asses out the team. he could make Ballotelli look like a Beko Telly.
Anthony is still a very good defender and he needs a settled team to slop into to see the best out of him,. I must have seen him play near enough 40 odd times and he very rarely put a foot wrong.
