Fixtures for 2012/13?

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Anyone know what day the fixtures are out for next season? I'd like York or Chesterfield away first game.

Mod edit: moved from banter page. Y4L.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

June the 18th... not long now! :) (from http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/KeyDates - scroll down for 2012/13)

I won't be able to make either of the 1st 2 weeks fixtures so York/Chesterfield away would suit me too!

Cheers Dave. Didn't know that. Which weekend is the opening game on also?

It used to be a regular feature of this competition.

The first leg used to be on the Saturday before the league games started and the second leg on the Tuesday or Wednesday before.

With our evening kick offs on a Saturday one hot August League Cup game the whole of Cardiff camped out in Torquay from about 8 in the morning and needless to say few were capable of standing by kick off time let alone watch a football game. We won and they smashed up Plainmoor and St Marychurch as they left (think someone suggested they smashed up Hele as well but there was nothing obvious! ;-) )

Can't believe it's over 2 months before a ball is kicked. I just can't carry on. :'(

Would you like me to kick your balls now?

Four days to go
and then we shall know
the matches and dates.
What are our fates?
What dreams of promotion,
of crowds and commotion?
Success in the Cup?
And will we go up?
Or, like other years,
will it end in tears?
Anticipation
throughout the nation.
But it's all the same,
game after game.
Sunshine or drizzle,
the ref wets his whistle,
and we all get pissed.
Our beating hearts!
And it all starts
with the fixture list..

Nice to see we are not starting the season bottom of the league with 0 games played as we did last year. A warm welcome to Wycombe Wanderers and York City who occupy the relegation places at the big kick off. Well it makes me feel better! ;-)
