Although Crewe's Nick Powell is attracting the attention of big clubs, his manager has commented that he thinks it may be better for Powell's career if he were to stay with Crewe for another season. The same thinking may be in Martin Ling's mind regarding the likes of Olejnik, O'Kane and Ellis.

But whether they stay or move on, it looks as if Ling is also wanting to strengthen the squad by another three or four players. He seems to have a knack of finding hidden or forgotten gems and polishing them up to make them shine. I wonder who they'll be. We could be in for a few interesting surprises over the summer...
