They have drawn and won in their last two away games and seem to be playing better away or at least more relaxed as the fans are constantly getting at them home so could be another hard game for us. They have signed Guttridge and Weale too very good experienced signings that may well get them out of trouble. Its just their defence that seem to be unrelaible.
Would be nice to see a comfortable win with us actually playing well in both halves of a game for a change, so many games in this good run have been one half affairs.

I'm actually quite wary of this one. They say that form is temporary, class is permanent, and there is no way that that side should be bottom of the league. Chris Weale played fairly regularly in the championship for Leicester, and won league 1 with them. I've always had John Johnson down as a decent player, ditto the likes of Ben Harding and Ben Tozer. Lewis Young was a real threat at their place earlier in the season, Berahino scores goals and Bayo might be a big lump but get the service right to him and he's a threat. Boothroyd I'm not sure about as manager - he had one decent spell at Watford but has had little success since. But you get the feeling that at some point things have to click for that group of players.
We're bound to be a little leg-weary after the game midweek, plus it was by all accounts a patchy performance at best anyway. The important thing today is to keep things tight, as Northampton games tend to see a lot of goals. As someone else has said, they are effectively giving every team a three goal headstart so if we can not concede there is always a chance we can scrape something together.

Any line ups yet? Wonder if Guttridge will start? Hope not.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Interesting that the cobblers haven't started with Bayo. From the names on their team sheet it looks like they're going 4-5-1 with Berahino alone up front. I'd have thought that that would be a role made for Bayo? I see they've brought Webster in at the back, he was very impressive a couple of seasons ago against us. Big lad, dangerous at both ends.
Happy that we're at full strength, want to see a big performance from Rene to justify him being brought back into the side.
