Morecambe v Torquay United - League Two - 21/1/12
Yes echo that. A quite astonishing run and as david Thomas mentioned, after we had been shellacked by Southend who would have thought that we could go on this sort of run. We have a plus eight goal difference but we cannot stop winning.
Anyway i am down for Tuesday nights game with five passengers, lets hopwe we can get a few on the gate.

I thought this season would be pretty much a nothing season but so far I'm wrong and damn happy to be. Hereford and AFCW I have sympathy for being my local club and my brother's team so I'm glad it was they who have helped us out, and given themselves a boost in the process.
Ling has been fantastic. He doesn't try to dress up a bad performance and he doesn't try to make out that he's a one man show when things go well. Also, I'm starting to agree with Trojan. We're not punching above our weight. We have a manager who is able to get the best out of our players and seemingly a great team spirit. The lads have earned their place.
COYY!

He ain't no polar bear.. Anyway, I was wrong: Martin Ling kept Taiwo to start instead of Rene; due to the windy conditions, he wanted Taiwo's speed rather than Rene's strength. Which is why I'm not the manager, and Martin Ling is God. Great stuff.forevertufc wrote:And Atieno is wearing gloves...drop him

Oh no, this probably means that we'll have an off day and Brucie will be asking for everyone's head!brucie wrote:Yes echo that. As the next two games will be at home to the bottom two clubs, we could see two big attendances - the gaps around Plainmoor being filled by Plymouth Argyle fans actually supporting the Gulls!

I didn't go today (which is unusual), but listened instead on the wireless, so it might be a quirk of commentary, but I thought we sounded much more threatening once Rene came on.
Not that Tai sounded to have done much wrong, but as soon as he went off, Danny had two good chances and scores with a third. It might be complete coincidence, but then, it might not.
Matt.
As an aside, Brucie, one driver, five passengers, are you hijacking a bus?

There is nothing left to say. Martin has exceeded EVERYBODY'S expectations thus far and i've got no idea how he has done it. We look like winning every game now and our squad really doesn't look like it can when compared to other, higher profile clubs with more resources. It has to be his motivational skills and desire to keep it simple and tight knit that is reaping dividends on the field. Every week i say i'll be happy with a point and we we win, i expect a heavy loss and we draw. Seriously, if we get in the play offs this season it will surpass Buckles reign at Plainmoor. It can all go tits up in the blink of an eye but at the moment we are in cruise control and we must not let complacency set in v Daggers and AC. These are two games we should be looking for 6 points before the tricky month of february.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

How can you say that if we get into the play off's it will surpass Buckles. Buckle had a bigger budget. no matter where we finish Ling has already surpassed that idiot!
Haha agreed !!usagullmichigan wrote:

Budget aside, nobody expected Buckle to get us into the play offs last year. Even less people expect Ling to get into the play offs this year and if he does he will have done a better job than buckle because he has got less money and a more limted squad. What's wrong with that?!

Because Buckle had a bloody good squad. With Ling we were all talking about trying to stay in the league this season.

Just watched the highligts on the football league show. How the hell did the ref miss the hand ball in the last minute. Looked like it was Lathrope but he pretty much picked up the ball in the box. Lucky lucky. Happy with the 3 points though.
Ellis with two overheads, Ling must have some crazy training sessions.

The editing on the FLS seemed indicate that a free kick had already been awarded in our favour when our guy handled it. Might be deceiving though.
