Playoff Semi Final Tickets

Post by Bristol_Gull »

What's going on with tickets?

Have they sold out? It appears to be the worst ticket announcement of all time, basically the end of a tweet announcing that they'll be available from 10am today and no posts on the website until they have practically sold out!

Gutted! If anyone has any spares I need 2 for my dad and I.

Cheers

I'll be staggered if it's sold out already. I suspect an initial phase were released at short notice with more to follow once there's been time to sort the logistics. For example, I can't believe either opponent will need the away terrace so that can be used.

With the amount of people I know who have seemingly missed out I doubt it’s the full allocation just yet. ST holders have until Wednesday to claim their seats or these will be released on general sale too, but I assume most will. Away terrace will almost certainly be for home fans, they didn’t sell any home tickets from Bristows block B so that’ll take the away capacity to 450-475 that I doubt either would bring.

Season ticket holders have till Wednesday so they'll be some after that - saw numerous people getting there's with ease

Plus if the away allocation is an important factor

Don't we have to give 15% of the ground to away fans?

I imagine if that isn't sold - likely - more will be available

I wish you luck with your tickets but there was a page on the club website yesterday evening setting out the arrangements for today. That page seems to have morphed into the "update" page, which is why we can no longer see it in the news timeline.

I dont think they worded it very well but then again they may have been writing it after a long day and a long coach journey home on Saturday night. But then again it could have been prepared weeks ago. Evidence being the number of people on social media who didnt understand when they were on general sale and to season ticket holders they were reserved for a period. That and there seemingly being no limit on how many you could buy.
I went on at about 10:45 and got the error message for the pop side about the last tickets are being processed or whatever it was, read the club post again, decided the general sale was Wednesday and went and did something else. Re reading social media an hour later i though, oh, better try again and got a single ticket in the bench. I know of people who have gone to every home game this season and were not succesful. Lets hope its BW next week as 250 should be sufficient for them and the Wollens is opened up. As mentioned, interesting the original page seems to have changed. Not a clear message and limitless purchase in summary.

Ground too small!

Our average gate this season was over 3800, our highest since 1971. If this is kept up or raised (especially if we go up and teams use the away terrace more) we may need to look at expansion.

I will be very surprised if you cannot get tickets, I imagine come wednesday those season tickets that are not taken up will be available plus the away stand which hasnt been full even when we had 5500 in the ground.

Is the capacity really 6500 as quoted on some websites?
Bristows - 1750 (minus a few for segregation)
Family stand - 1200

I’d say it’s probably around 6000, I seem to recall the standing capacity being reduced at some point.

I logged on by chance to see when tickets would be on sale on the Sunday morning and got in for 10am. Got 2 tickets but they went quickly - no tickets of two seats together were available after 12pm. All seemed to have gone now other than season ticket holders but I wouldn't hold your breath that many of those will become available. Will they open up the Wollens Terrace?

I’m 99% they will. I can’t see either potential opponent bringing more than 450-500 that two blocks in Bristows allows. Even if they did, I think at least half of the away terrace would be given to home fans.

Capacity is 6200 per ground regulations but then a few more will be unusable to enforce segregation

Interesting to see the split between the stands

I wonder if it would be feasible to split the away end with Torquay having access from the Pop Side and a sterile area with a temporary barrier & stewards between the fans (as Dorking do)?
It would be a shame if the away side bring just too many for their seats and the away end has just a small number of their fans.
With larger away followings in the National League this may be something to look at if we go up.

I famously don't always read the 'instructions', but the sale conditions were clearly posted Saturday evening. I know this because I was chuntering about my ruined plans Sunday morning. I attempted to open the ticket page at about 9:50 and it went straight to a notice about being in a queue. Got on at about 10:02 and bought 5 tickets in Bristow's (as normal). By the time I'd checked out, there were only 2 tickets left in Block C, and by 10:10 most blocks were 'amber'!
