Former Bath City midfielder arrives at Plainmoor. Dan Hayfield has become the latest new addition to Paul Wotton’s exciting new Gulls squad, after the the 27 year-old signed a one-year deal for United following his departure from National League South rivals Bath City. Dan arrives at Torquay following a superb season with the Romans, as his impressive displays in the heart of the City engine room played a huge part in Bath’s promotion push last term. Having begun his career as a youngster at Exeter City, a spell in Canada followed, before a return to Devon in 2020 saw Hayfield sign for Tiverton. After switching to Bath in the summer of 2022, two seasons as an almost ever-present at Twerton Park saw the central midfielder gain widespread recognition for his performances, and paved the way for his switch to the English Riviera.
