WILL GOODWIN
It appears that Will Goodwin has joined Cheltenham on loan. So his time at Torquay was well spent and has resulted in signing for the League Two outfit.
Wish him all the best he was an asset to the Gulls and always gave100%.
Just ashame we couldn't hold onto him for longer

Cheltenham are league one which made it harder for us to keep him, seems we did offer to keep him but can't fault him for wanting to play 2 divisions higherStoneybroke wrote: 09 Jan 2023, 15:07 It appears that Will Goodwin has joined Cheltenham on loan. Surprised a league 1 club would be interested. He was ok for us but didn’t strike me as a player capable of playing 2 leagues higher. That being said he hardly much in the way of service or much to work with.
Agreed didnt look like a league 1 player

Wow an amazing move for him, and good luck to him..........He ran his guts out for us, he looked good in a struggling side and he never gave up.
His F A Cup goal and the kneeslide will be remembered for a long time.

Lets not pretend that "stoke had an offer they couldnt refuse" Its more likely that he was going to be released by his parent club

I thought he put in a good shift for us but League1 status I'm not so sure - thought him still to be in development stage. Still if Cheltenham are prepared to put their faith in him how are we not able to put faith in one of our own: Olaf Koszela
Think he'll do well in a better team and level than ours. Showed some real quality
at times , potentially a very good player and a cool finisher.

Just watched the highlights, he hit the post on the second goal too with a lovely bit of movement in the box. Stick him in a decent side and he’ll do well, and I hope he does.Forest gull wrote: 11 Jan 2023, 13:50 Just watched the Cheltenham game on the news up here, Goodwin also got MOM
