Southend vs Torquay United 15.5.22
20 mins til kick off and no match day thread? We really have lost interest!
Not enough to field a full bench today I see?
Some notables missing Hall, Little? Injured or off?
When will the retained list be announced?

For me the season can't finish soon enough, its been over for months since our poor start. Today's bench sums things up, poor. The retained list and recruitment is eagerly awaited. COYY

No McDonald, Hall or Little, probably all gone already. The rats left the sinking ship last season at the first opportunity !

Southend down to 10men - Red card to Demetriou after a terrible foul on Wynter

We have 4 first team players injured, of course the bench will be sparse. The season was only over around 3 weeks ago, after we put in a fantastically consistent run since Christmas.Nick Potkins wrote: 15 May 2022, 13:58 For me the season can't finish soon enough, its been over for months since our poor start. Totally agree the season was over weeks ago, as for rats leaving the sinking ship, its only right that pro footballers try to better themselves financially, its a short career, good luck to them. My only gripe I have with this last few weeks with nothing to lose why didnt we give the youngsters a chance, there is no point of giiving them another contract if they are just going to bench warm and it doesnt benefit them.
