Lewis - class
Lemon - quality on the ball. Real grafter too. Wins more than his fair share of headers. Looked most likely to score despite playing 3 up front.
Macca - confidently dealt with balls into the box. Did nothing wrong.
Money - solid
Armani - I forgive him the succession of terrible corners and some dodgy passes. Arguably Johnson had more eye-catching moments but I honestly think that when our game gets going, Armani is integral to keeping the ball moving swiftly. He never stops moving and making himself available. He also does his fair share of the heavy lifting and put in some real lung-buster runs today to support the defence. He makes his views known to the ref in a pretty level-headed way and leads by example. Probably not the consensus but I think he’s the right choice for skipper in Asa’s absence. The Hollywood passes and wonder strikes will come as confidence grows, I’m sure.
