THAT Vardy goal!
Against us 10 years ago today!
Of all players to start their premier league winning goal scoring career against us!
Trying to remember our team back then, can anyone?
Oh how we’ve fallen. But we WILL be back. And are starting to come back.

Seven years ago but yes vaguely remember the game. One of those games where we were never really in the game. Just beaten by a superior side who won the Premier league four years later. Line up was:
Michael Poke
3 Kevin Nicholson
4 Aaron Downes
5 Brian Saah
2 Joe Oastler
7 Lee Mansell
18 Craig Easton
63' 29 Niall Thompson
11 Ian Morris
72' 21 Tom Cruise
6 Damon Lathrope
8 Ryan Jarvis
76' 23 Ashley Yeoman
9 Rene Howe
SUBSTITUTES
13 Martin Rice
12 Daniel Leadbitter
30 Kyrtis Mackenzie
20 Nathan Craig

Not one of Michael Poke's stand-out moments! I don't remember the game - maybe a League Cup match, or whatever it was called seven years ago? Anyone remember what the final score was?

4-0 Leicester I think, stand to be corrected.tomogull wrote: 15 Aug 2019, 22:01 Not one of Michael Poke's stand-out moments! I don't remember the game - maybe a League Cup match, or whatever it was called seven years ago? Anyone remember what the final score was?

An interesting where are they now list there. None of them want on to much better after leaving us. A few in coaching roles, some have disappeared, Tom Cruise is apparently an accountant now!

Joe Oastler is playing for Oxford City last i heard.
Ian Morris is manager of Dublin based side Shelbourne.
Ryan Jarvis currently plays for Kings Lynn Town.
Brian Saah is currently an academy coach at Orient.
Rene Howe apparently plays for Kings Langley FC
Ricey is keeper for Exmouth Town apparently.
Nathan Craig plays for Caernarfon Town
Daniel Leadbitter now plays for Newport.

Well he had to score his first goal against someone, full respect to the guy, he has gone from non league at fleetwood to Leicester, but remained loyal to Leicester turning down arsenal.

Seem to recall that Kyrtis MacKenzie was diagnosed as diabetic shortly after turning pro with us and I think left the game altogether, sadly. Likewise, as most on here will know, Damon Lathrope’s career ended early with a very bad leg injury whilst playing for Woking. By strange coincidence, Woking also appears to have been “the last stop” for two other members of that side too - with both Saah and Poke having ended their professional football careers there on their release.
Lee Mansell is, of course, involved with Bristol Rovers Academy as a Development Coach - having ended his career there, and Craig Easton is Assistant Manager up at Cowdenbeath, whilst Ashley Yeoman now plays (and is Fixture Secretary) for Salcombe Town in the South Devon League Premier Division.
