I have no idea why Brett isn't around at the moment, but with all due respect we can't go around accusing him of anything, there's nothing clear about this at all, until some facts are known, would be careful what we say, after all remember what was said by some on the forums when Martin ling went sick. Not that I'm suggesting this to be the case here.

I don't think there needs to be any sinister reason. As with any change in manager, some players go out of favour to make room for those the new manager wants to bring in.

Our last three changes in manager have been in September, so we've seen it a lot recently, and it always leaves some players in the cold who the previous manager wanted but the new one doesn't fancy. They're not bad players, just impacted by the change of circumstance. We've cleared out a few since GJ arrived, while some others like Nabi and Williams have fallen down the pecking order due to the arrival/increase in form of Lemonheigh-Evans, Janneh, the other loanees and Jamie Reid. The front 6 are pretty settled recently and we do have a few replacements. If the first choice is Kalala, Andrews, Lemonheigh-Evans, Edpwards, Reid and Janneh, then Hall and Dickson, as well as Keating have come in for any injuries. While we're unbeaten in the league, it's maybe not surprising that we're not making too many changes to the starting line-up. Sendles-White and Essuman have found it hard to get into the side as well, because of the form of Cameron/Niate, and nor did Bass straight away when he was back fit.

If we bring in any more new players, it sounds from his comments like GJ is planning for next year rather than 6 month deals, so some players might be pushed further down as well, and some others may become available for transfer. If Jamie Reid and Saikou Janneh weren't scoring in pretty much every game, Williams may have got/will get more of a chance. Until then though, let's just enjoy a team that's winning games and scoring goals instead of worrying about those who can't get into the side at the moment. If we keep up our current form for 4 more months, we'll be champions, and you can't finish any higher than that. We're out the cups now and there's only 42 league games, so squad rotation might not be something we see too much over the rest of the season - certainly once the festive period is over.

Gulliball you make a good point.
Once we complete the five Christmas/New Year games, now we are out of the Cups, we will have just 17 games in 16 weeks between 6th Jan and 27th April weather permitting.
If we are spared any serious injuries to key players, we keep up our form, and we keep our loanees we must be favourites for automatic promotion.
You never know in Football but Top of the League, a great Manager, and a squad giving their all we are in a good place.COYY.

There will never ever be a more critical Christmas period coming up. If we can win next Saturday we then have a run of home games over the festive period which could see us in a fantastic position.

Its a massive achievement to reach the top of the league so quickly from where we were when Johnson joined but we have to take advantage now.

I would say we are 2 months ahead of schedule, I’m not interested that Woking have 2 games in hand and billericay 1 in hand, we where double digit points behind these 2 when Johnson took over. It is indeed a critical Xmas period

William does not fit in with the style of play but is a good player to bring on when you need to hold the ball and control the play late in a game if your winning.

Five games on paper we should win but 15 points
is unlikely. I don't actually think Truro will lose both games against us , it's the sort of thing which happens when you play a team twice in a few days but hopefully we will stretch our lead by Jan 5th . Woking and Billericay play each other on Saturday and can't see them both winning the next four after that

Good form or not there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't beat Truro twice at home in quick succession.

Their players are a level below us and we have hammered better teams than them.

Disagree
The times he had come on as a sub this season he hasn't got into the game

This his time is up, probably on a decent wage hopefully that can be freed up

I hope you are right Brucie , but we didn't hammer
Weston who were lifted by the big , for them crowd and played above themselves. We have to be prepared for Truro doing the same

Slightly different as we are at home (twice) and Weston had the referee to help them as well. Hopefully all our big players will be fit - if so I just cannot see Truro coping with our movement in midfield and attack.

We may not have to worry at this rate - unless it stops raining , can't see the pitch coping with 5 games in 2 weeks or 4 even, after Truro have finished with it on Saturday, hopefully that's off. Sorry , nothing to do with Brett Williams (except he was last seen with a rake in his hands tending the pitch)

Truro have improved under Robinson who did a good job at Taunton I have watched them when Torquay have been away and they are becoming a very good side. They have a very good left wing back and it would be good if Edwards is fit to stop him coming forward as he is a threat. I don't think Johnson will under estimate them but they have a few threats.

On paper, Williams is the most technical, experienced and gifted goal scorer on our books although the stats and goals scored tell a very different story.
Yes, he plays in a particular style and seems incapable of altering that style and I do not see why the whole team has to play to his way of things just so he can score the odd goal. This is not the premier league.
My big gripe with him is his work rate, or to be more factual his total lack of such endeavour, I saw it so much last season when playing on pitches that resembled the Somme he would come off looking like a male model with pristine kit ,while others ,well you were hard pressed to decide who they had been playing for due to them being caked in mud.
Hopefully he will find a team in January that can accommodate his style of play and no doubt he will come back to haunt us just to prove the point as so many have done before him, but he will be a very expensive mannikin off our payrole.
