Lee Johnson said this at his Monday press conference this week:-

“Centrally we’re not weak but we’re short of numbers in midfield. Browny’s suspended. Joe Morrell was sent off for the U23s and we’re just waiting to see if that carries over to the first team, and there’s the potential to recall Connor Evans from Torquay who’s fit and been playing very well (and that’s why we send those guys out)”.

Totally agree Evans will be off in January.

Not sure why this would result in our loanees going back myself, pretty sure Brian Tinnion is in charge of the Bristol City youth players not Lee Johnson. If he is happy with how their loans are progressing here, then they will stay. Lemonheigh-Evans is pretty likely to go in January as he is too good for this league but that is irrespective of the Lee Johnson situation.

Don't forget that Edwards and Andrews were both brought in by Owers and not Gary Johnson, so nothing to do with any family link.

Plus of course Gary Johnson was highly successful as a manager long before Lee became a manager himself so to suggest he is reliant on his sons help is nonsense.

Great result for Bristol City last night, as we all know when a new manager comes in relationships between clubs change. At present we have a father and son relationship between the clubs which will undoubtedly help if we are looking to extend our BC loanies.

The 3 games information was gained via a trusted source at the heart of the club.

The most vital partnership is not between Gary Johnson and his son Lee, but between Gary and his brother. It is important that we are able to recruit players of our own so that an effective long term squad is formed.
We are not going to progress very far if we have to rely on loanees who can be recalled at a moments notice. I have always thought that the emphasis laid on the Bristol City lads contribution actually demonstrates how weak our squad of contracted players actually is. It is imperative now that the Johnson brothers can work together to assemble a squad capable of challenging for promotion to the EFL and then establish themselves in that league and that is going to require continuity.

Trying to second guess what GJ is going to do (or say) next is a waste of time. He is his own man and he's been in management long enough to know what it takes to achieve promotion and, at the same time, be prepared for the levels required in a higher league.

Good news on the OS. In GJ's piece he says we basically have all the Bristol boys until the end of the season unless they are needed. Given none, even Lemonheigh-Evans are ready for Championship football I guess all we have to worry about is them accepting an offer to buy in January, but unless they need the cash I would say that is unlikely.
