Loanees

Post by kerswellgull »

How long do we have the loanees signed up for ?
They are obviously the key to how we are currently playing

They have been integral indeed - I’m not sure how long we have them for but I would imagine it’s in everyone’s interest for them to see out the season here.

Even more integral to our performance is Johnson. He is the lynchpin that has cultivated the performances that we have begun to witness.

I have every faith that Johnson (&Johnson) will have the ability to bring in equally strong or even stronger players if necessary.

On October 23rd, we were told Andrews and Janneh had another three months. Around September 29th, we were told we had Connor Lemonheigh-Evans for 93 days. Unsure re Edwards.

The crunch will be in reducing loan player numbers (if recalls/returns) and integrating new signings into the team whilst maintaining high standards on the pitch. Encouraging to hear GJ saying that he is looking to develop a team for National League and above through building on the base of what he already has.

Lee Johnson has 3 games to turn Bristol City’s fortunes round or he is out the door. This will have an immediate impact on our squad.
Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. :goal:

Gary Johnson has enough contacts beyond Bristol city. His project is league football for Torquay. Management sacking is unfortunately part of the job. And Gary Johnson knows that.

Now 3-2 city...

Still... being told you’ve got only three games to prove yourself just goes to show there’s no longevity to his position anymore...

Saying that, where ever he ends up he will atleest get a league 1 job..

Why? That suggests that all BC loanees would all be recalled from numerous clubs at the same time. Because? They'd all get into the first team squad? Unlikely.

Pleased to see that Bristol City won away at Ipswich tonight, takes a bit of pressure off Lee Johnson.

Can’t really see Lee Johnson’s future too much concern for the future of TUFC

Our connection with City (Johnson/Johnson) is so important for this season. :scarf:

There seems to be a lot of unfounded worry about Lee Johnson getting the sack.

Not sure why this would result in our loanees going back myself, pretty sure Brian Tinnion is in charge of the Bristol City youth players not Lee Johnson. If he is happy with how their loans are progressing here, then they will stay. Lemonheigh-Evans is pretty likely to go in January as he is too good for this league but that is irrespective of the Lee Johnson situation.

Don't forget that Edwards and Andrews were both brought in by Owers and not Gary Johnson, so nothing to do with any family link.

Plus of course Gary Johnson was highly successful as a manager long before Lee became a manager himself so to suggest he is reliant on his sons help is nonsense.
