Bridport - OK you mean Gray was sacked after the same length of tenure as Owers is right now. Geddit ! Thanks.
I'm very surprised that Cheltenham have dumped Gary Johnson - he had an exceptional record at one time.
A good candidate IMO if TUFC had a vacancy LOL

But York have wasted time in getting rid of him. He was appointed on a one year contract 12 months ago and rather than actually sack him in the summer after failing to get York promoted back to the NL, they simply let his contract expire to save on the compensation.Bridportgull wrote: 22 Aug 2018, 08:01 Lucy what i was trying convey was York city didn’t waste any time changing manager 5 games in and they 8 th

So you have York looking for a new manager five games into the season having already spunked the budget.

This has got to be a wind-up.MellowYellow wrote: 21 Aug 2018, 22:16 I see Cheltenham Town have parted company with manager Gary Johnson:. Hypothetical question - would Johnson be a good replacement if Ower's were to depart?

He got Cheltenham out of the National League at the first time of asking.

True but with a squad full of mainly league 2 quality players and backed by a supportive board who wanted to make a real fist of bouncing back from relegation at the first attempt.
I would love Johnson but if he was happy to step down to NLS then I wouldn't want him!
Basically I think he's too good for us! And if he wanted to come manage at Plainmoor then there would be something wrong with him!
