Hmmmm... So everything is ok after all (jokes): https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/43814387

 :(

Comments please! Well done to the BBC for not giving up! Done lots better than the local rag.

PS - anyone on this forum received a free travel ticket to the Hartlepool game as per Devon Live article a couple days ago?!??

I love the caption under the picture "gulls fans have had to little to celebrate since Clarke Osborne look over" try five feckin years.
The club needs to be sustainable and some of the snouts in troughs who have creamed off eye watering sums from a well meaning millionaire are eye watering.
I actually agree that plainmoor is unsustainable I struggled to park last week on a massive crowd of 1500.
Just like to point out that I'm not linked to gi, have no idea what the end game is, have no idea what full time football will look like (they might put me and a mate in central defence!) Sad times

Utter bullshit from CO. He is not a paternalistic owner but a materialistic one. All he wants is to make himself some bucks on the back of TUFC. Wish he would go.

Yes because he's really creaming off the club at the moment.

He's 'rescued' the club apparently.

Some rescue!

Sod off Osborne.

That`s frank enough. I`m Clarke Osborne, this is my club, I saved it from administration, I own it , I bankroll it when no one else can afford to and as such I`ll do what I want with it and I don`t give a damn about critics in the media or anyone on this forum. Be grateful I`m here.

Got to say he does come across well. As frank and open as I would probably be in that position.

On the face of it, it's plausible. Trouble is, Osborne has history and many fans' doubts are being fed by his continued lack of transparency. Smoke and mirrors talk doesn't do anything; only action will dispel those fears now.

And as if to prove the point.... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/20 ... ll-league/

I don't think I'll comment on Osborne's words, it wouldn't be pretty.

Osborne comes across likes he's doing this for the benefit of the club. And that's my problem with him.
Why would anybody who is not a football fan and has no connection with the town of Torquay, or the area of Torbay, want to spend money helping the club?
Of course the only answer can be he is not in this for the benefit of the club but for another anterior motive.

Why does he constantly ignore everybody and requests to engage, only generally communicating through pre recorded / written media releases? Maybe he has a severe anxiety disorder? Would make sense. I can empathize.

Or maybe he's just not bloody well interested one bit in the football club OR it's fans?

"what will happen is that a number of sugar daddies will probably emerge"

A number of Sugar Daddies! isn't that a collective noun for 'Grooming Gangs' ? not sure I want those type of characters associated with the club.

Emerging Sugar Daddies.

Great name for a band. Could be like Primus and make songs like Mr Krinkle.
