Dover flew to Exeter this morning and boarded the Exeter Chiefs Team Coach on hire from Dartline who are based at Clyst St Mary.
Tonight they fly from Exeter to Lydd in Kent departing Exeter at 6-30pm.
I am curious did they fly with Flybe or a Charter Company? Does anyone know?
I am just interested in the economics as it saves on a Hotel overnight and is way better for the players.
Can we learn from this for trips to teams that are 300 miles or more from Torquay.
Dover Athletic Travel Arrangements.
Shame they weren't booked to fly Raynair, they might not have turned up.

Probably a plane profitably using 'layover time' at Lydd Airport and Dover have been doing this for ages. Duane Ofori-Acheampong used to regail me with tales of flying to away games for them and their whole approach to operating in such an outpost is innovative with other away trips often rendezvousing at Euston or Kings Cross-St Pancras whilst they train at Greenwich University so that the only times the players are required to be in Dover is for home matches.
