James Gray to start?
Granted the caliber of opposition during pre-season was not great, but James Gray was the stand out finisher during pre-season with a bunch of decent goals.
Surely his cracker against Woking will put him in line for a place in the starting line up?
I'm not sure why we like to keep our best finishers on the bench...
I'm sure Brett Williams would have bagged a bunch more last season given the chance.
Thoughts?

You make a strong point!portugull wrote: 01 Sep 2017, 12:52 Given that we have 9 out injured I would be amazed if James Gray was on the bench.
Hopefully he gets a chance at the front

I really rate James Gray, he was outstanding in the pre season friendly against Bristol City, especially from a work rate perspective. His goal against Woking, is surely a candidate for goal of the season, anywhere and any time! He MUST start! D.
Was dismal against Aldershot.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him start in midfield as he did at Woking given the lack of numbers there, and the fact we aren't so depleted in numbers up front (whether we are depleted up front in terms of quality is a different conversation)

It doesn't matter which elevn we pick. We will get hammered.

we could put Macy Gray in and it'd probably improve the side.

Didn't Lavercombe injure his ankle on Weds/Thurs - you would actually think these useless tossers would have sorted this by now. If we don't get a keeper in we might as well pack it in.
