West Brom Youth Squad
Joe Ward 19, joins Chay Scrivens 18 on loan from Premier League club West Bromwich Albion. Nico says "they come highly recommended". If this be the case why not give them a go - can they be any worse than the shambles we saw at Sutton. At least at the West Brom Youth Academy they are taught to play ball to feet and their pace should pose the opposition a few problems. Who was it who coined the phrase "you can't win anything with kids" when the like's of young starlets Scholes, Beckham, Butt, Neville, etc. were given a chance in the first team .. the rest is history. So lets give the 'Nico Babes' a go this Sat. I can accept losing if we try to be creative and innovative but cannot accept losing when we are clueless and useless. I am trying to 'keep the faith' but will not continue to watch another season of dismal performances such as we saw for 3/4 of last season

Agree about wanting to see Scrivens given a starting role to show us what he can do but not expecting too much from him. We do appear to be shopping at ASDA though as we have signed Ward who has had 1 senior game with Kiddy whilst Boreham Wood get their loan signing with experience of the first team and ScotPrem and Barrows loan signing played 24 times last season at League 1 level.

Perhaps he can't drive so couldn't get to the game!! :}timmax wrote:Scrivens couldn't even make the bench this time, is he that bad? If so send him back. Starting to feel sorry for him now. I bet he is chuffed that he came here.
