I would be really interested to hear from Steve Breed. It is professional of him to make no real public comments on all of this (other than a short piece on BTPIR as far as I am aware) but it would offer an insight if we were to hear his view on the situation. There are not many who could claim to be more die hard Gulls that SB so for him to say that he will not be attending games next season is astounding.

£200 season tickets could prove to be a serious miscalculation by the board. Time will tell on this one.

Ouch, do you know or are you guessing SG ? It sounds like you're talking about Bill P rather than Dave P !!! I've liked our current Chairman up until now; I'm getting as annoyed as everybody else about the interminable delay in information. Don't think we can expect too much info to come from the joint first-team manager of Watcombe Wanderers though. Interesting move from Breedy.

I questioned this from the start. There were someon here who got very upset with that. Where have they gone, still supporting the takeover?

Was the season ticket offer just a rue to get some money in with the knowledge that the takeover might not happen. Blxxdy well hope not!

I never trusted GI and now after all this, they seem to be holding the council to ransom, dont like it one bit.

I also warned about this as soon as I saw the name Gaming International - what seems like a long time ago now. They have a truly appalling record of not deluvering on promises - just ask speedway fans at Reading, Oxford and Swindon. Let's be clear about this: they are only interested in developing the Plainmoor site and making a profit. If the TUFC board can't see this they must be very stupid. GI do not care about the football club. Throw in Torbay council, who I wouldn't trust to give me the correct time of day, and you have a recipe for an utter shambles from which the club would do well to survive.
Of course things may yet turn out to be satisfactory to all concerned, but I have my doubts.

Torbay Council will not sell the ground. They have always wanted (and always will want) TUFC to go bust so they can keep the land for themselves, knockdown the inconvenience which is Plainmoor and make a hefty profit from their housing development plans. I don't mean to be negative, nor am I saying that Torbay Council do not support the club, but we hear nothing from them when it comes to TUFC and it's blindingly obvious (and has been for some years, 2004 promotion ring any bells?) that they are only interested in the land. Gaming International Ltd were told this on many occasions, but no, we decide to carry on with their so called investment, allow thousands of pounds being loaned to us which we'll never be able to give back.

We are still a few players short, the budget is disappearing quickly and it's alright suggesting we have sold may season tickets, but they were sold at a dismally low price, meaning we will lose out as the season goes on, need an average of over 2,000 every week to break even and that is relied on the squad which looks mediocre. If we are not fighting for promotion and find ourselves mid-table/bottom half, attendances will only be around a 1,700 average, meaning we are in a dire state even if we manage to stay alive after GI give up on the Council negotiations.
