New Signing: Amos Kabeya
Erm, who?!
Not heard of the guy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Problem for me is though if there was money in the pot for another player, I'd much rather have seen a Centre half bought in as cover for the inevitable MacDonald suspension.
Gerring just won't be good enough if we have to face anyone with a bit of pace about them

It's good to see we've continued our pattern of signing strangely named players by signing someone with a name which sounds like a question posed by a Yorkshireman.
Go on, just read it. In a Yorkshire accent. You know you want to.

I would agree with Jeff - another attacking option is nice, but lose MacDonald and we're severely weakened for 3 out of our 9 remaining games. We've got more than 6 options for the midfield/attack, but only 2 centre backs and given an almost inevitable ban for MacDonald we should have someone ready to step in, just like Moore has stepped in for Lavercombe instead of having to gamble on Fisher.

Total unknown but Nicho must have had a tip off from someone, maybe John Milton?
Nice to have an extra option up top. We've looked a striker short of late and with the games coming thick and fast it's important to have depth.
Share concerns with the defence though. Got away with not naming a defender on the bench against Southport but we are one injury away from a crisis and Mac will get suspended. Actually quite like Gerring. Did very well at Cheltenham and against FGR at home. Fine as long as he has someone like Smith next to him.

Gerring is OK as long as he is marking a target man - note how he completely nullified Parkin in both games against FGR.drummergull90 wrote:Total unknown but Nicho must have had a tip off from someone, maybe John Milton?

However anyone running at him will rip straight past him. I'll be amazed if Angus Mac is going to hold out the rest of the season so I'd like to see cover.
(if the loan window is now shut, I can only assume SG's cryptic post would be referring to signing someone on non-contract terms? Unless any deal has fallen through?)

That's what Nico said to someone on Facebook asking the same question.

FIFA offices don't reopen until Wednesday, I believe. Hopefully have clearance by Saturday but depends where we are in the queue!
