Hopefully new investors really means new owners. I know the current incumbents are doing their best but it's clear to all but the most blinkered that they just don't have the football knowledge and resources to move the club forward. That's not a dig, just reality.

There seems a lot of background noise in the article about Peter Masters and Truro but maybe that's just the way I am reading it.

I dont think many owners do have much football knowledge. Just loads of cash. Well that's not true either.

The current owners are "fans", and that's cool by me. What I don't want is a so called wealthy individual or group who really want the land AGAIN.

Eddy, when they took over it was because there was no realistic alternative. They've done their best and in some areas have made absolutely tremendous decisions for the future benefit of the club. It isn't their fault they don't have bags of cash to waste but what they do have are the best interests of the club at heart. They were willing to step forward and take on the challenge, they had to deal with problems they inherited from the previous regime and yes they made mistakes themselves. They've remained dignified and approachable and have always said they would step aside if proper investors could be found. I think you've been pretty unfair at times, they deserve some credit and it wouldn't hurt to acknowledge that occasionally.

I totally agree. I think they have done a really good job. However without money it was always going to be a season of 'home truths'. They have I feel therefore been unfairly criticised by some fans as they grew more and more frustrated by the game results. I suppose that process is inevitable.

i dont think the land thing makes any difference, plainmoor cant be built on as far as i was aware, as for investors we need someone thats for sure if we are to get back to the football league, if someone wants to buy the club i would think the current board would except for the good of the club and stand aside.

Dave. I don't dispute a lot of what you say and I do credit them for some things. If we can stay up by some miracle and the reigns get handed over to someone who can help the club progress then I'd say on balance they would have done a great job. If however we end up in the Nationsl South and all the problems that will bring then judgement of their tenure would be very different. It sounds harsh and I know they are just fans doing their best but there have been a lot of mistakes I find it hard on balance to see that we have moved forward much. Like everyone, I want it to be a good news story but that does not stop me doubting whether the capabilities and resources are there for it to be.

I can see why you may apply that acid test Eddy. However it's hardly realistic is it. The Board were the only ones who put their hands up to run the club. So if it's an adjudication of failure what was the alternative you are judging failure against?

You only have to read the views of Bill Phillips and Chris Hargreaves , both of whom are clearly playing mind games kidding firstly themselves about the balance sheet and host of other things to realise where we have come from. If it's Conference South it's the like of those two who deserve to have the word failure applied to them.
