Eric Lardbottom from Atletico Cockington might be on his way, but he's not sure he can work with Nicholson.lucy6lucy wrote:We where told to expect one or two additions before the window closes. Any news or updates

That's a no then.Nicholson is unlikely to make any more signings before tonight’s transfer deadline, but he does hope to swell his squad before the Macclesfield tie.
“Because we’re concentrating on free agents now, it takes the pressure off doing something within the [transfer] window,†he said.

I think the look on Nicholson’s face in that article really does say it all.
Like Gob from Arrested Development, "I've made a huge mistake".

Just seen on the HE website that we're about to sign a midfielder - Danny Racchi.
According to the HE, 'He started his career with Huddersfield Town and went on to play for Bury, York City, Kilmarnock for two years in the SPL and Valur in Iceland.
He has appeared for Hyde, FC Halifax Town and Tamworth this season before impressing in a recent training trial with United.'

Read the bottom of this article - apparently we are targeting former Exeter defender Matt Taylor, who has just been released by Newport

I saw news of Taylor's release on SSN and wondered aloud to no one in particular whether we would be after him.
Off to consult with my spies. Back soon.
Matt.

Glad to see we brought in Iffy, not sure about Racchi but I would be ecstatic to be proven wrong. Taylor is a free agent so can still be signed, no? Could be a very good leader in defence, a good player for either Gus/Smith to work alongside. Get it done KN.
