A man on Twitter reliably informs me that ol' Dick is a free agent.
Do we want him?

Care to expand? That's a very firm line against a man who certainly has some talent somewhere.

Look at the outrage caused by Marsh leaving, which by the sounds of it, had a bit of an attitude problem. I have seen enough of Brodie, he seems to throw his toys out the pram often enough when things don't go his way, so we could just end up in a similar situation.
Plus I just dislike him!

To the dotted line, We're on our way
It's weird how players like this have this amazing season or two where everything goes right and they're highly coveted prolific players and then one day it disappears and they struggle to find any stability or form in subsequent seasons. Karl Hawley is another name with such a record, he was banging them in for Carlisle and then it all just dried up. There's something ever so temporary about success in football.
I was at Southport last season and I seem to remember Brodie being involved in Luke Young's red card and making gestures at us when they scored their first goal. I also recall us dominating them for most of the match with ten men, largely because Brodie couldn't hold the ball up. So, I'm not a fan.

if we are talking players who threw their toys out the pram we don't need to look far from TQ1 I remember a couple of players who are well known for us who had an unenviable reputation for that. David Graham was one. didn't quite set the place alive at other clubs he played for yet came here and was a revelation. he was qputed as saying Leroy was the only manager to get anything out of him. what a wasted talent.
Many of our elderly fans.(gee watch the missiles my way now lol) will rememebr Tommy Tynan. who signed from Newport County. a prolific scorer with Newport where he forged a superb partnership with one John Aldridge who went on to fame and fortune with Liverppol in their hay day. But came here and fell out spectacularly with the manage when he had an argument with Wes Saunders who punched him at the hoterl. Tyne then went looking for Saunders and when he found him in his hotel room picked up the nearest thing he could find and threw it at Wes. casusing a cut eye. its wasn't so much pot calling the kettle black it was the kettle calling Saunders eye black.!
