For undisclosed read crap going by our history of giving away players.

Better to get a lower fee than not release players. Who would sign for a club if they don't let them move on to bigger clubs? We are a tiny little non league club who need players to come here hoping to get spotted.
Did you actually manage to understand then Chardie?!...chardie wrote: Do you have any actual knowledge of this transfer agreement or are you just here for a whinge?

Could it be "undisclosed" because it is sooooo high we just wouldn't believe it !!!!!! :~D
On a more serious note, does anyone know why fees are kept undisclosed? Once the deal is complete does it matter if the world knows the amounts involved - I understand any wage agreements being kept private. Just a question.

It's quite simple, and nothing more than either the buying club or the selling, or both do not want any fee to become public knowledge, for various reasons, such as fan criticism, see torquayfans.comGloomy Gull wrote: On a more serious note, does anyone know why fees are kept undisclosed? Because either the buying club will be, perceived by their fans as having paid over market value, or the selling club, perceived by their fans as having sold under market value, but the thing with us football fans we really haven't got a clue how to value player in all honesty.
For the same, or other reasons, one or both clubs may not want to becoming subject to media scrutiny. However at the end of the day, if anyone of us was really that bothered, anyone could find out exactly what the transfer fee paid, was, with the good old internet, and knowing the right place to look, wink, wink.

I doubt it can remain undisclosed for long. its bound to be part of the accounts and will somewhat stand out. unless of course it's put down to something creative like Hiring out Gilbert for after dinner squatting and hiring or office paper clips,. in which case we will never know. lol

There is another reason. The selling club may not want other clubs or agents knowing how much cash they had just received.
